The shy male nude

It seems like every 3d modeler ever has that mandatory T-pose bald naked guy model. Since I usually succumb to peer pressure anyway, I went ahead and made one....except mines got body hair!

Baggy yoga Pants

Saw some neat pants. I wanted to sculpt all the folds, so I did that part first and eventually lost interest in the upper body. Crotch wrinkles are fun on baggy pants!

Went to a Rodrigo y Gabriela concert a few weeks ago in Hollywood.

Turned out to be freaking amazing!! So much energy!! I was so excited - Just wanted to go home and play guitar all bad-ass like them..... Except I don't know how to play guitar, I've never even held a guitar.

I stuck to what I know instead- Had to do something productive with my enthusiasm ( its rare for me)

Besides isn't this what real sculptors are supposed to do-- Make statues of great people?

Don't judge me -you know who you are-, I know i'm supposed to be doing paid work or finishing one many in progress sculpts!

I plan on finishing this one!

Zbrush Doggy

Zbrush sculpt of my dog. I took some glam shots of him a while ago and decided to do a piece. I kind of regret not doing it traditionally. Its just so much more satisfying when you can hold a sculpt in your hands! Still is a work in progress though- a bit rough in some parts.

Hipster update

Thanks to Ryan's awesome suggestions, I started adding some more accessories to my hipster. Its a work in progress. If anyone's got any essential hipster tips. Id be happy to add them to this guy. I'm going to have to shelf him for a few weeks while I work on other things. but I will get back to him soon!

A hipster and his iphone

Not very long ago, a friend told me what a hipster was. I need to get out more- here I was thinking the whole emo thing was still going on. Man, I must be getting old ... Oh well. It seems like I see hipsters everywhere now. I am fascinated by their scarves, and very tight pants haha

I started the piece after the new year. He stands at about 12' - a lot bigger than my usual 8' . Its my first time using Chavant clay. So far I like it very much. Still is in a very rough stage.

I also have a sculpey sculpt tutorial I am trying to get together for some of you guys who have sent emails. My biggest hold up right now is designing the character to sculpt. Takes me for EVER!!

Not a whole lot of change in this last set. I am just doing more cleanup. I will add the cape and utility belt later just so I don't have to sculpt around them. Thanks very much for all your feedback--it's very much appreciated!!



Here's some progress on Cheeks' batman design statue. It s a real fun little piece. I was going to post the entire armature process, but it went by too fast and before i knew it, I was already sculpting!
